Alumni Association Scholarship*

Purpose: Our purpose is to provide financial assistance to

Goshen High School seniors who wish to further his/her education.

Conditions:

The applicant must be a Goshen High School graduating senior who is planning on pursuing higher education by the fall of their graduation year from Goshen High School.

The applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or above at the time of graduation. The applicant must provide the Goshen High School Alumni Association a copy of your transcript. Your application will not be considered without your transcript.

The scholarship funds will not be awarded until the applicant has provided proof of enrollment in a program.

If the recipient does not begin classes in an institution of higher education for the fall quarter of their graduation year, the recipient will be required to return the scholarship funds to the Goshen High School Alumni Association in full by

October 1^stof the awarded year.

The Goshen High School Alumni Association reserves the right to revoke the scholarship award if the recipient is found to be involved in actions/situations deemed inappropriate by the Goshen High School Alumni Association or if any other stipulations are not met.

Essay:

Please submit at least a one page TYPED ESSAY about why you have chosen your particular field of further study, what you intend to do after you complete those studies and why you are applying for this scholarship.

Please do not put your name on the essay.

Two Letters of Recommendation:

Obtain one letter of recommendation from a High School teacher, Coach, Administrator/Staff.

Obtain a second letter of recommendation from a Minister, Employer, or Organization Leader (i.e. Scouts/Gymnastics/etc.)

(The second letter is to be from a NON SCHOOL EMPLOYEE)

Please request that the letters not document your name and the letter be sealed in an envelope before returning the letter to you.

PLEASE NOTE: Letters from family members will not be considered valid letters of recommendation.

Final Instructions:

Submit the following to your high school counselor before March 6, 2017

Applications and information will remain confidential.

The applications will be judged by a committee of the GHSAA members.
